High growth Tech/SaaS company in Venice is seeking a first time and highly experienced VP of FP&A. This is a role that requires a dynamic, hands on, visionary leader who can manage the team and processes and drive tangible and immediate value to the firms bottom line, while mentoring the team and attracting top talent for future roles. This position will be responsible for providing implementation, program management and systems support across the company’s global enterprise finance applications. The scope of applications supported includes ERP, business intelligence, financial reporting, billing, HRIS, Talent and other systems. Serving as a liaison between IT and finance/operational leadership, this position serves a key role in ensuring that the above applications meet the requirements of the business.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as key liaison and IT point of contact for business leaders and stakeholders including business finance leads, controllers, CFOs, etc.
  • Provide input into the strategic roadmap and actively lead the demand management process for finance-related system needs
  • Manage vendors, software contracts, support renewals and consulting contracts
  • Responsible for both project and departmental budgets related to financial and related systems
  • Work as solution lead on cross-technical implementation and support activities in and around finance systems – Inventory Management, Payroll, Billing, Procure-to-Pay, Project Accounting, Financials, and Business Intelligence applications
  • Responsible for resource management, including internal resource allocations/assignments and 3rd party management from sourcing to ongoing management
  • Monitor, track status and provide updates to global stakeholders on key finance systems support operations, issues and service level metrics, etc
  • Responsible for communications to stakeholders and end users
  • Provide program management and project management support on key ERP implementations and major enhancement projects including overseeing the development of business case, project approach, scope, project plans, budgets, monitoring and reporting
  • Ensure projects/programs are defined, tracked and communicated in a consistent and effective manner
  • Responsible for change management planning and plan execution as required by individual projects
  • Implements risk management controls and monitors project risks
  • Coordinate with respective project managers and 3rd party resources on projects & implementations to provide the following:
  • Functional / technical design specifications for new development items
  • System configuration and testing
  • Documentation for reconciliation and audit reports and processes
  • Communication, change management and process improvement


Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Management Information Systems, Finance, Accounting or IT related degree
  • 10+ years of experience implementing or supporting financial systems; Oracle EBS experience required
  • In-depth experience with Global Finance, Project Costing & Operations; BI experience a plus
  • Experience managing complex IT projects
  • Understanding of enterprise scale business and technical architectures
  • Prior leadership in a global IT organization and company
  • Able to operate in both strategic and tactical arenas and provide hands-on leadership as needed
  • Demonstrated financial and business process knowledge including accounting, procurement, financial back office functions, vendor management,
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with ability to present and persuade at all management levels and thrive in a cross-functional matrix environment
  • Highly analytical and self-motivating individual with ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities
  • Strong experience in system development methodology (Waterfall, Agile) and ability bridge different mythologies as the project requires
  • Solid understanding of systems and ability to provide system solutions in response to business requirements
  • Strong organization development and change management knowledge
  • Ability to estimate time and resource requirements and to develop to estimated timeline
  • Be able to deal with ambiguity and make quality decisions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical addressees
  • Able to quickly learn new technologies as they become prevalent and widely implemented including decision making, time management, and task prioritization
