The Director, Strategic Finance will be an instrumental leader during a time of hyper growth. Reporting to the CEO, this role will provide financial perspective, strategic analysis and operational insight into key functional departments and projects. This person should be comfortable operating with extremely high standards while also supporting a business that is scaling rapidly with high innovation and capital requirements. The ideal person will have a strong investment banking or private equity background, have completed numerous Mergers and Acquisitions (ideally in the Software, Digital Technology, Consumer Services or Renewables industries), Capital Financing Valuations (equity or debt), should be able to conduct multi-scenario SWOT analysis and more.

What You’ll Do:

  • Build, and develop sophisticated in-depth financial models, from the ground up, so that we can continue to execute as we grow and provide critical analysis into our business’s operations.
  • Think strategically and leverage your analytical background, to aid in decision making at the direction of the CEO
  • Work with the CEO on an ongoing basis in a support capacity to evaluate potential capital investments into or out of, the business
  • Apply business judgment and financial insights to assist with decision making across product launches, city operations, and more
  • Work Closely with the CEO and SVP of Finance and any external companies on any new M&A Activity the company may pursue.,
  • Work closely with the corporate development team on fundraising, special projects and deal support

What You’ll Need:

  • 10+ years of progressive work experience in finance and/or accounting
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or another quantitative field
  • 6+ years investment banking experience
  • 2-4+ years working in-house, at another high growth start up company in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial modeling, forecasting, analysis, and financial reporting

About You:

  • Advanced SQL proficiency. Able to manipulate large data sets, uncover hidden insights in our data, and meaningfully improve our understanding of our business through this process
  • Advanced Excel & financial modeling skills. Able to build robust financial models used by teams throughout the company, and to seize opportunities and build business cases for pursuing new initiatives
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Cross-functional relationships and effective communication are critical to implementing impactful projects
  • Self-starter with attention to detail. Ability to move quickly and desire to own projects from Day 1
