Job Description

  You will be the primary legal resource for the business, providing advice on negotiating and documenting business relationships, M&A matters, employment law matters, as well as any other legal issues that may arise in our ever changing industry. We will look to you as the expert on all strategic corporate transactions. You will have the opportunity to build something from scratch, and be a crucial business partner for us!

What You’ll Do:

• Advise the Executive Team on legal strategy

• Advise on risks associated with operations, employment, transportation and regulatory compliance

• Legal advice on employment issues including – employee discipline, policies, leaves and accommodations, investigations and separation agreements

• Work with human resources on current employee practices and procedures

• Partner with human resources on various employment related matters

• Develop creative and strategic approaches to legal issues

• Manage any litigation and/or regulatory enforcement in which company is involved

• Serves as key lawyer/legal adviser on all major business transactions, including merger & acquisitions and joint ventures

• Manage all corporate transactional work

• Review, negotiate and record all contracts and agreements

• Provide guidance on evolving rules, regulations and laws

• Perform legal due diligence

• Become an expert on issues related to the Company’s Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, general privacy and data protection issues

What You’ll Need To Have

• Must be highly dependable and detail oriented with ability to manage many tasks

• J.D. from accredited law school

• 5+ years of relevant experience

• Corporate, employment and M&A experience

• Substantial understanding of labor law
