Location: El Segundo, CA

The Staff Accountant is a part of the Accounting team. This position will be responsible for daily, weekly and monthly accounting tasks and activities. This position must meet tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation and financial reporting. In addition to the essential duties and responsibilities listed below, the Staff Accountant performs assignments to back up the other members of the accounting team reporting to the Corporate Controller.   SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Works under the supervision of the Corporate Controller   SUPERVISION EXERCISED: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.



  • Prepare and record journal entries, ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Prepare and analyze general ledger account reconciliations, ensuring the underlying support is appropriate, understanding the purpose of the account and nature of transactions; investigate and resolve any reconciling items
  • Interact with external vendors and customers regarding invoices issued and received
  • Interact with internal department managers and their employees
  • Prepare owner statements and supporting invoices
  • Maintain records and file documents
  • Prepare wire transfer requests and follow through to ensure delivery of funds
  • Prepare tax forms and calculations on a semi-monthly, monthly and quarterly basis
  • Document desk procedures for assigned duties
  • Maintain chart of accounts, products, services and classes
  • Provide accounting support for audits

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent number of years of experience, plus min of three years of accounting experience
  • CPA designation preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Valid CA driver’s license
  • Must be drug and alcohol free and able to pass FAA drug/alcohol screening, background checks and submit to random drug test when required
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Demonstrated mathematical ability
  • Sensitive to confidential information
  • Must work independently and as a member of a team

  • Technical proficiency in generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
