Leading Manufacturer of Consumer Goods is expanding its operations in the City of Industry and seeks an Accounting Manager to work alongside the Corporate Controller and Pricing Manager for a 1-2 month project.
This is a contract position.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure integrity of the Company’s inventory valuation and cost of goods (materials and labor), including maintenance of standard costs, bill of materials (BOM), and reconciling inventory variances
- Develop and maintain standard cost data and perform periodic reconciliations and audits to changes in the BOM
- Participate in month-end and year-end financial close including financial statement review
- Review cycle count results, research material variances, prepare reconciliation of the perpetual inventory to the general ledger and report to senior management any issues identified
- Facilitate data requests by external parties (audit, tax, bankers, etc.) as needed
- Assist with the implementation of ERP system upgrades, financial reporting, and general process enhancements
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis and special projects to support finance, accounting, and leadership as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or similar field
- Proficient in QuickBooks
- Blend of public and private accounting experience, preferably Big 4
- Proven track record in Manufacturing and/or Supply Chain industry
- 3+ years of accounting and inventory experience – raw materials and finished goods
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel functions (VLOOKUP, SUMIF, PivotTable, etc.)
Compensation: $50-65/hour
Location: City of Industry, CA (on-site)
