What You’ll Do

Growing asset management firm based in Palm Beach seeks a Corporate Tax Manager to join their team.  As a Tax Manager, you will utilize your prior experience to provide tax compliance and advisory services for all corporate and REIT entities owned by the firm. You will assist the company with effective analysis, solution development, and implementation of company’s tax objectives.

General Responsibilities

* Perform accurate and timely completion of annual federal income tax returns, and non-income tax compliance obligations, including sales and use tax returns, working with our external tax firm
* Prepare quarterly income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740 and quarterly income tax account reconciliations
* Prepare annual financial disclosures and memos related to tax matters
* Prepare quarterly tax estimates and projections
* Manage complex tax research projects around emerging issues and pursue prudent federal and state tax opportunities and credits
* Perform tax research and assist various stakeholders internally and externally
* Oversee the maintenance of the Company’s permits, licenses, certifications, and registrations
* Manage income tax audits, inquiries, and tax notices
* Identify and communicate relevant tax legislative developments
* Develop, document, and implement applicable tax accounting policies and processes
* Ensure proper internal controls and record retention to support tax positions, calculations, and disclosure requirements
* Maintain a forward-looking perspective by remaining abreast of industry and tax developments
* Coach/mentor Associates on performance opportunities and strengths
* Evaluate process opportunities and implement ways to drive efficiency and automation
* Assess current technologies and processes relating to partner tax matters, providing recommendations for technology investments and process enhancements
* Develop long-term professional relationships with INO Management and key vendors
* Support the tax team’s goals and objectives by assisting Sr. Tax Manager with special projects and ad hoc assignments

* Office Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm

Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in accounting/tax. Master of Taxation degree, preferred
* Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required
* 8-10+ years of relevant tax experience, with a heavy emphasis on US federal income, corporate and REIT tax compliance and income tax accounting, in both public accounting and corporate environments
* Experience preparing tax returns
* Experience preparing ASC 740 income tax provision
* Knowledge of Indirect Taxes (Sales and Use Tax, Property Tax)
* Experience in leading a team, providing a path for career development, and the desire and ability to provide direct reports with training and tools to grow and succeed
* Excellent research and analytical skills, including written and verbal communication skills
* Extensive experience in identifying, analyzing, and communicating tax issues and their impact on the company and its operations to key stakeholders and executive leaders.
* The ability to lead, communicate and drive improvements in tax practices and processes
* Track record as a trusted advisor and business partner – driving business insights, actions, and accountability with a customer service-oriented attitude.
* Tax system knowledge preferred
* Experience in the private equity/venture capital/ asset management industry preferred
