Looking for a VP finance for a health & wellness focused beverage manufacturer in Vernon! The VP, Finance will direct and oversee all financial activities including accounting, financial and regulatory reporting, budget and forecast reporting. The VP, Finance will be responsible for all cash management, budgeting, and financial reporting, helping drive the company’s financial strategy.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop plans for growth to increase company profit while also reducing expenditure.
- Ensure timely close and reporting of month-end financials along with variance analysis.
- Act as a business partner to the management team by assessing business performance against the annual budget and company’s long-term strategy.
- Tracks and ensures cash flow is appropriate and sustainable.
- Oversee accounting/finance personnel, budget preparation, and audit functions.
- Compare sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; makes or oversees any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.
- Prepare financial documents such as business reports, financial forecasts, and statements to understand the financial state of the business.
- Direct the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and tax returns.
- Analyze operations to identify areas in need of reorganization, downsizing, or elimination.
- Review the budget planning process and suggests improvements to current methods.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to effectively communicate business finances including presenting fiscal findings and justifying financial recommendations.
- Skilled in developing and implementing strategic plans, compliance mechanisms, and project management.

EDUCATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Degree in Accounting, Business Management, or Finance required.
- 8-10 years of experience in accounting and finance.
- CPA/MBA preferred.
- Distribution/manufacturing industry highly desired.
- Experience with cost accounting and inventory analysis/management.
